VCE(SAT) bipolar power transistor in an SOT-223 surface mount package. The CZT7090L is a PNP device with a typical VCE(SAT) of 0.175 volts at 1.0 amp and has been designed for portable electronic products requiring an energy efficient power transistor in a small surface mount case with a low profile.

TRIACs in Fully Insulated TO-220FP package
March 29, 2005 – Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the new series of TRIACs in the TO-220FP FullPak package. This series includes 8.0 Amp (CQ220-8MFP, CQ220-8NFP), 12 Amp (CQ220-12MFP, CQ220-12NFP), 16 Amp (CQ220-16MFP, CQ220-16NFP) and 25 Amp (CQ220-25MFP, CQ220-25NFP) devices. The MFP suffix signifies 600 Volts (VDRM, VRRM) in a FullPak case and the NFP suffix signifies 800 Volts (VDRM, VRRM) in a FullPak case. The TO-220FP package provides a fully encapsulated plastic case requiring no additional mounting insulation. These TRIACs are ideal for AC control applications and feature gate triggering in all four (4) quadrants.

Energy Efficient Devices: New High Current, Low VF Schottky Diode.
March 22, 2005: – Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the new CMDSH05-4 energy efficient high current/low VF Schottky diode packaged in a SUPERmini™ SOD-323 package. This device offers a high continuous forward current of 500mA and a low maximum VF specification of 0.35V at 100mA and 0.47V at 500mA. The CMDSH05-4 is ideal for motor control and DC-DC applications in portable battery powered electronics. Central Semiconductor's EED™ Schottky diodes typically have a forward voltage drop of at least 50% less than non-EED™ diodes. The SOD-323 surface mount package offers a nominal profile under 1.0 mm and compared to an SOD-123 utilizes 49% less circuit board space.

Multi Discrete Modules: Transistor and Diode combination in a PICOmini™ SOT-563 Package.
March 15, 2005: – Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the introduction of a new family of discrete semiconductor devices called Multi Discrete Modules™ (MDM™). The first two devices to be introduced in this family are the CMLM0405 and CMLM0605. The CMLM0405 combines an isolated 60 Volt, Low VCE(SAT) NPN Transistor and a 0.5 Amp, Low VF Schottky diode. The complimentary CMLM0605 is an isolated 60 Volt,
Low VCE(SAT) PNP Transistor and a 0.5 Amp, Low VF Schottky diode. The combination of these devices is ideal for motor control and DC-DC circuit applications.

New, CBR50-020P series - 50Amp Full wave Bridge Rectifiers
February 16, 2005: – Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CBR50-020P Series (Case FP) 50 Amp full wave bridge rectifiers. These new devices have the highest current rating for bridge rectifiers in the Case FP package. New Series of Medium Current / Low VF Schottky Diodes
February 1, 2005: Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of three new EED™ (Energy Efficient Device) low leakage diodes. The CMDSH2-4L, CMOSH2-4L and CMUSH2-4L all consist of a single Schottky diode chip providing a maximum current specification of 200mA and a low maximum forward voltage drop of 0.5V at 200mA.
A standard 200mA Schottky diode normally specifies a maximum VF value of 1.0 volt or greater. Central Semiconductor’s EED™ Schottky diodes typically have forward voltage drops of at least 50% less than non-EED™ diodes. <more>

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMDSH-4E Enhanced Specification SUPERmini™ surface mount Schottky diode. This new diode is rated at 40V (max) peak repetitive reverse voltage, more than a 30% increase compared with the standard CMDSH-3 device. The average forward current of the CMDSH-4E is 200mA (max), which is two times the current of the CMDSH-3.
