September 9, 2008- Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CTLSH5-40M833 5 Amp, 40 Volt Schottky rectifier in the TLM833 leadless surface mount package. With a typical forward voltage drop of less than 0.35V at 1.0A, and 0.49V at 5.0A, the CTLSH5-40M833 is an outstanding energy efficient device ideal for today’s portable battery powered electronic products. Typical circuit applications include: Power management, DC-DC converters, and LCD backlighting.

The TLM833 measures 3.0mm x 3.0mm and has a maximum profile of 1.0mm. Compared with industry standard devices packaged in the SMC case, the TLM883 provides a 61% lower profile, occupies 80% less board space, and boasts a maximum rated power dissipation of 4.5W. The CTLSH5-40M833 demonstrates Central’s continued leadership in the development of innovative devices that meet the most challenging design requirements.
