July 26, 2006 - Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CYT5551D and CYT5551HCD dual transistors packaged in the new eight (8) lead SOT-228 surface mount case and are ideal for high voltage amplifier applications. These new devices are 160 Volt NPN transistors with a maximum V_CE(SAT) of 0.20V @ 50mA and a minimum h_FE of 80. The CYT5551D has an I_C rating of 600mA, while the CYT5551HCD boasts a 1.0A I_C rating. These dual devices utilize 50% less board space than 2 individual devices packaged in the SOT-223 case. Central also manufactures a dual 400 Volt NPN device (CYTA44D) packaged in the same SOT-228 case.

The CYT5551D and CYT5551HCD are available Bulk Packed or 1,000 pcs on 7” Tape & Reel. Prices for the CYT5551D and CYT5551HCD start at $0.22 and $0.26 each respectively for 1,000 pcs on a 7” reel. Sample devices are available upon request.
