Hauppauge, NY USA February 20, 2008 - Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMAD4448 ultra high speed switching diode in the SOD-923 package. This new FEMTOmini™ device is a high quality 120V, 250mA diode with a maximum t_rr of 4.0ns (2.0ns typical), and an ultra low maximum capacitance of 2.0pF. The CMAD4448 has several enhanced specifications compared to the standard 4448 device. Enhancements include: V_RRM= 120V compared to 100V for the standard device, and a lower capacitance of 2pF compared to 4.0 pF for the standard device. Designed for applications requiring a high speed diode in an ultra small package, the CMAD4448 in the SOD-923 package utilizes 55% less board space compared with to the SOD-523 package, and has a 48% lower package profile (0.41mm compared to 0.8mm of the SOD-523 package) making it ideal for most portable handheld electronic devices such as: cell phones, Smartphones, digital cameras, PDAs, and MP3 players.
