Community Service Activities & Events
Central Semiconductor Corp. and its members (employees) participate in many meaningful community events and activities. Central's members have always been very generous and are dedicated to helping fellow Long Island (LI) community members and others in need throughout the year. From donating blood to gifting toys to children during the holiday season, Central's members are there to help.
Central Semiconductor Corp. and its members take great pride in supporting local community events and projects. In addition to a Matching Gift Program, Central's members are dedicated to helping others in many ways. Central's members support Blood Donations through LI Blood Services, Food Drives through Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank, Toy Drives through The Salvation Army, various events through the American Cancer Society, and many others. Generous Central members donated 134 lbs. of food during the annual 2006 HIA Summer Food Drive alone.
Additionally, Central hosts an Annual Take Your Child to Work Day Event wherein future workforce members are introduced to the workplace. Central's members plan a fun-filled and interesting day of thought provoking activities for children to introduce them to the hi-tech world of semiconductors, as well as various areas of the Company.
In addition to individual contributions and support by Central members, Central Semiconductor Corp. supports various not-for-profit local organizations through annual donations, such as United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), The National MS Society, The Kosciuszko Foundation, The Foundation for Sight and Sound, and Harbor Country Day School, to name just a few.
Central and its members certainly recognize a responsibility to serving the LI community and many other charitable organizations doing important work.
