Position Summary
This position is responsible for the maintenance and growth of the existing customer base as well as the development of new accounts in a designated territory. The majority of duties are performed from Central's Hauppauge, NY, headquarters in conjunction with outside manufacturers' representatives and distributors within the assigned territory.
Key Position Responsibilities
• Designs in Central's discrete semiconductors with end customers in assigned territory.
• Contacts existing and prospective end customers by telephone to grow sales.
• Responds to customers’ incoming phone and email requests.
• Works with independent field representatives in assigned territory to deepen penetration at existing accounts and to develop new account engagements.
• Introduces new products to existing and new customers and helps to solve customers' problems by recommending Central's products.
• Acts as a liaison between customers and Engineering, Quality, and other departments, to quickly resolve customers' technical product and other issues.
• Quotes price and delivery to customers.
• Processes customers' purchase orders, and requests for samples, literature, and promotional items.
• Monitors and guides activities of reps in territory by analyzing input received and other feedback including monthly reports.
• Regularly travels into territory for customer/rep visits and trade shows (travel up to 15%).

Education/Experience
Requirements
• BS or BA degree AND
• Minimum of 5 years electronic sales experience
OR
• BSEE or BSET degree AND
• Minimum of 18 months of inside technical sales experience OR
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service or general sales experience OR
• BSEE or BSET with an equivalent combination of experience.
Preferences
• Inside technical sales experience in the semiconductor industry
• Territory Management experience, including experience working with
Manufacturers’ Reps & Distributors
• Experience with ISO9001:2008.
