International Sales Representatives
 

Position Summary

This position is responsible for promoting and selling Central's discrete semiconductors to international distributors and customers.

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Routinely contacts international distributors, customers, and reps in assigned territory to solicit new business, review activity level of existing business, follow-up on outstanding quotations and sample orders, promote new products, etc. 
  • Provides product training to international distributors, reps, consultants, customers, new department members, and others.
  • Analyzes individual international distributors and reps in assigned territory, and compares the level of business brought in with known market conditions. 
  •  Assures expected level of performance and business from key customers, target accounts, and distributors/reps by maintaining regular contact. 
  • Consistently pursues and develops new opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Develops sales leads by researching the internet, magazines, newspapers, trade shows and other sources; uses these leads to make contact with new customers and potential international distributors.  
  • Communicates promotion and development ideas regarding assigned territory to Sales Manager. 
  • Confers with VP Sales and Marketing to determine prices of components, as appropriate for quotations and orders.
  • Quotes price, packaging base, and availability of components  
  • Responds to customer requests for product information and technical assistance and follows up with Engineering, Quality, etc. to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Holds distributors and representatives accountable for bringing in a satisfactory level of sales leads and new inquiries. 
  • Contributes to the development of departmental goals by sharing ideas and providing feedback to the Sales Manager, as well as other department members.
  • Travels to existing and potential international distributor, customer, and rep facilities for meetings, product training, and visits.  This position may require travel 10% to 15%. 
  • Staffs booth at designated Trade Shows in assigned territory and other areas, as needed. 
Position Requirements

Required
  • Associate's Degree.
  • Two to three years minimum related international sales experience; or equivalent combination  of education and experience.  
  • Fluency in Mandarin (or) Spanish (or) Japanese required based on the territory for this position.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) from a four year college or university;
  • Three years plus experience selling to/servicing international customers;
  • Experience with discrete semiconductors/electronic components; and
  • Experience with ISO9001:2000 
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese (or) Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.
